Montana CCW Hunter Safety Course?

I was on carryconcealed.net and it tells me that I can take a hunter safety course and that will be enough for the training requirements to apply for my concealed carry license. Can anyone verify this?

In Montana yes that is all you need, I showed them mine from 1968, it was all it took.

Yes, MT Code 45-8-321 3a

(3) An applicant for a permit under this section must, as a condition to issuance of the permit, be required by the sheriff to demonstrate familiarity with a firearm by:
(a) completion of a hunter education or safety course approved or conducted by the department of fish, wildlife, and parks or a similar agency of another state;

Its actually pretty common. Many states consider hunter safety courses as fulfilling the training requirement for a CHL. Florida comes to mind.
