I'm considering getting a new firearm and need some ideas! What's the most fun firearm you currently own?

Currently mine is my Ruger Mark III Target.

While I agree that the Mark III target is a great shoot - and uses relatively inexpensive ammo - my favorite is the Thompson SMG that I bought - of all places - at Dunham's Sports. I got a 50 rd drum magazine and now I can play gangster at the range.
And it's surprisingly accurate out to about 125 yds.
Fun Fun Fun :D

Tough one... but I've narrowed it down to 2 of them.

Ruger 10/22- cheap to feed and just a blast to shoot.
Stevens 200 in 300 Win Mag- more expensive to feed, but I love shooting deer or groundhogs with it.

Marlin 60 with "dragunov" stock

the .500 mag BFR is alot of fun

And I LOVE rifled 12ga slugs. way too much fun.

I just added one of these to my collection. Put 300 rounds through it last night in 'New Toy Frenzy'.

It'll probably be flavour of the month and then become an equal part of my .22 LR plinking rota of Armscor AK47 / Southern Gun Co. AR15

M1 Carbine that I cast and reload for. Costs $4 per 100 rounds to shoot.

H&R M12, Kimber 82G, or Rem 541, bench shooting, but not cheap to shoot. $10 to $30 bucks for 50 rounds.

My regular fun gun is the Ruger 10/22. I can shoot that baby all day.

My special fun gun is this HK-MP5. Yes, it is full auto. Shoots like a lead garden hose.

Too many options to say just one.
WASR-10/63 GP is just fun to play with.
Browning BuckMark is my favorite fun-gun of my .22 pistols.
Then again, I have a 1957 J.C Higgins 88 revolver which is very fun.
Intratec Tec-22 is fun to put a 50-round magazine of .22's through.
.72 bore flintlock fowler with it's 55" long barrel is just plain fun.
I really enjoy my old Mossberg .22 bolt rifles from the 40's.
Bauer .25 pocket pistol is a ball to shoot..as are all pocket pistols to me.
etc etc etc etc.......I think all of my dozens of firearms are fun.

Though question. My definition of a "fun" gun would have to be one that is relatively cheep to shoot, but still makes a big "impression". I'll let each shooter define impression. A fun gun cannot be a workhorse or a collectors item. It must be a shhoter.

My personal list of fun guns would include-M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M-N Mod 44, Trapdoor Springfield, Original mod. 92 in .44 WCF, Mini-14, S&W K38 Masterpiece, Ruger Single-Six .32 H&R...

Granted some of these are collectibles, but they are shooters first in my book. As far as my favorite, it depends on my mood. If I want to play cowboy, I'll pick one. But if I want to pretend to kill germans, Japanese, or Indians, I'll pick accordingly.

Camp Carbines

Yep - I have one of each - 9mm and 45 - and while they DO need an aftermarket recoil buffer and Wolff spring, they ARE fun. Both of 'em remind me of sort of "big boy's 10/22" fun guns.

The 10/22 is the most fun in a rimfire - moving up to carbines, the Marlin Camps - but up at the top end, M1 Garand is very cool.

Rimfire handguns - 22/45 Target

Centerfire handguns - S&W 686 Plus, Government Issue M1911A1.

Most fun gun. Any of my .22 LR rifles or revolver. Because they are accurate and cheap to shoot.

But I love shooting the others too, but because of ammo cost, inspite of the fact that I reload, they are not as much fun to shoot.
