Hey guys,
I have found that the prices of my favorite .223 ammo, federal "lake city" xm193 have gone way up! And not only that, it has become a lot harder to find.

Normally I would just accept and move on, however I have grown to love this ammo, and more importantly so has my gun! It shoots it great! So I was wondering if anyone else has ammo that they would find comparable at the same or lesser price.

Thanks
Russ

Also if anyone knows where I can get 1,000 rounds of xm193 for a good prices please let me know! Ammoman.com is still out!!!!

where you located, any where near louisville Ky? National gun day comining in oct. At the last one, bought a case of your xm193 from a big ammo dealer and he had a whole pile of.

I had heard Ammoman was importing a Swiss M193 clone. Hadn't heard anything else though and the price was around $0.45/round in bulk which is pretty pricey by my standards.

The Swiss M193 worked pretty well. If you reload, the brass is also really good to work with.

What bullet does the M193 standard use? Is it an "M193" bullet? If you could get the same bullets used (I know they are 55 gr FMJ, didn't know if there's anything special about them) and load to the same specs but with higher quality control, you'd have something just about as good or better right?

Prvi Partizan makes M193 ammo that is petty high quality. Wideners has some IIRC.

AIM Surplus will also be getting more in a few weeks.
