My First Gun Show

I went the the gun show at Westland Mall 3 shows ago and was very disappointed and left and went to Vance's and found a better variety of guns all at very good low prices.

Also the show is in a pretty bad part of town and was even the scene of an attempted robbery and shootout overnight with hired security. This was 2 shows ago at the same place.I had to leave my ccw in the car and wait in line outside to pay $7 or $8 to get in. Granted Vance's in just as bad a neighborhood as Westland Mall is at least i have my CCW on me.

1-5 you say? thats a short time and pretty sad.. Our gun shows like from 10-5 11-5 and they are packed up ready to go AT 5, they pack up at 4:30 no gun sales last 15mins, all guns/gear off tables AT 5 mins till!

Up here in the Northwest they are really hit and miss, so to speak. I went to one a while back and found several good deals. The next two I went to were duds. The most recent one I went to was so-so. There were a couple of deals to be had, but there was a lot of overpriced stuff. I think this may be due to people unloading some of the stuff they hoarded just after our last presidential election.

Hey MagnumDweeb -

If you can get to Jacksonville or Deland, they seem to have more in the way of revolvers. I did see a few guys with 4" GP100's. Don't remember if they were from dealers or private sale. I'm going to try to get to the show at the Morocco Shrine (Aug 14-15 ) in Jax. Been while since I was there last, so I don't remember what it's like with revolvers. I do remember at Orlando there was a guy selling a fairly nice Redhawk for about $475 - but I was just a little short on cash that day...
