Just bought a 442 today and went shooting. Im very happy with the gun, it fits in my pocket well, but i dont like carrying that way as it uses up too much pocket space.

I was hoping someone could recommend a good ankle holster. i want something thats going to stay snug and not come lose and will hold the gun securely.

Another vote for the Ankle Glove. I've carried with mine up to 10-12 hours a day with no issues.

Another Ankle Glove vote. I have two, one for a j frame and one for a Glock 26. Both work well. Do not confuse the Ankle Glove with the Galco "cop", which is not as well made and is more complicated to use.

i like the reverse pull strap on my ankle rigs.....gets them more snug than the simple wrap around kind....

the DeSantis model 44 is nice and has a retaining strap, or the higher end ones made by Lou Alessi or Milt Sparks...these rigs will last longer than you and wont get worn out or loose elasticity like other brands can/do...

you wouldnt buy a maserati and put cheap tires on it, so why buy a premium defense gun and stick it in a cheap holster?

remember, you only pay for quality once.

I like the Fobus actually. I've tried the others but the Fobus is nice and light and keeps the gun nice and secure.

I'm happy with a 642 in a Lou Alessi ankle holster. But Alessi holsters probably are hard to find now.

The Galco I tried felt almost right but not quite. Holsters are pretty much a matter of personal taste, though, so you might give one a try.
