Need rifle help plz

im looking for a good hutting rifle. I like wood stock S/S barell and recever has to be bolt action have a buget of about 1900 for the gun the scope is a different story about 900 im looking towards the browning xbolt white gold and the browning abolt 25 aniversary model and the wetherby mark v deluxe thoughts and comments would be would be liked and no one can perswade me to go sythetic stock i own over 40 rifles all wood plz help.

Have you looked at the Ruger 77 rifles? You can buy a SS barreled/Walnut stocked rifle and have enough cash left over to buy a top of the line scope and quite a bit of ammo or reloading gear. Mine's a 77 mag in 7 mm RM.
PS: Their SS actions are no longer available with a Walnut stock. It would have to be a synthetic or laminated stock. Walnut was dropped last year.

take a look at the Winchester's as well... I just picked up a new Model 70 in 30-06 for 650.. I think the SS can be had for about the same or just a bit more...
