I picked up this Mod 67 last week at one of the local pawn shops. I’ve been looking for a 67 ever since I bought a 15-2 a while back. It was in the back at the pawn shop for quite a while waiting to be put out and finally got put out in the display. It had to sit in the display for a few weeks before coming to it’s new home because my offer and the pawn shop price didn’t meet. Well I was in last week and checked it out again. Talked to the owner and negotiated again and this time he agreed on my price
It will need a little TLC and a good cleaning. The finish needs a little work, it has some end shake and the ejector catch needs work so the cylinder doesn’t have side to side movement, and it may need a new tighter cylinder stop as it has some rotation. The rear sight will eventually get re-blued since it’s seen some rough use. It will get a set of Ahernds grips as it came with Pachmayr presentation grips. The internals will eventually get some attention as well.
S&W model 67 no dash
No box or papers
DOB ~ 1974
Stainless steel
4” bbl
38 special
Here’s some before cleaning pics.
Here’s the first target after cleaning the cylinders and bore and shooting.
