Well, it did serve the purpose of getting folks to look at it and carry on a dialog about it.

Of course a pretty woman doesn't hurt.

I figure Glock got their money's worth.

Though I think my wife would have aimed a bit lower than I would. But, she's sorta crazy that way.

Don't open the door honey. But your finger should have been on that trigger.

As far as doors, every one of mine have two deadbolts one even has three in addition to the regular lockset. The deadbolts are 1\3rd down from the top and 1\3rd up from the bottom. Hinges and strikeplates are secured with 4" screws into the the adjacent studs. My doors are like wooden versions of steel vault doors. In the almost 30 years I have lived here I have never been broken into, which is more than I can say of my neighbors. Just having the appearance of being a hard target to crack is a deterrence and it being a hard target to crack helps also. I am also a realist given enough time any home defense can be defeated, I just hope it makes them look for an easier target. Still I have my guns for backup.

I just hope it makes them look for an easier target.

That's definitely my main objective. In all the homes on my street, mine is one of only two with an ADT sign in the lawn, and the other home doesn't have motion sensor lights and cameras like mine.
And those are just the outer two (and most visible) layers of "layered security".

10mm. Loaded HOT. Hard bullets. 180-200 grain. Or maybe mixed ammo.

19 round extended magazine.

Mag dump into door.

Now that would be a commercial to remember. And no. It's not advised or even legal if you hit the perp. But we are talking fantasies, right?
