NEW S&W M&P Compact concealed carry light!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I carry a compact S&W M&P .40 for my concealed at all times. I wanted a light for it but most were too heavy too bulky etc. not to mention expensive. Just yesterday I was checking out crimson trace's laser grip for my M&P ( also expensive) when too my pleasant surprise I found their new "Lightguard". Now given it isn't out yet but it is listed on the site and listed as "coming soon" with a price of 150 bucks which considering the advantages and all the competitors it isn't bad at all IMO.
Also listed on the site are some holsters to accomodate the lightguard that would be good for concealed carry.
I am very excited about its release it should meet my specs perfectly, What kinda input can I get from the multitudes on this item?

I have a laser mount on a Kahr PM9 that fits like that light will mount. It was an easy install. Glad to see it has an O/O switch. 90 lumens is adequate for room clearing purposes and up to the effective range of the handgun. The frame makes a comfortable trigger finger resting place.
Reasonble price. Looks like a winner. CT is a great company with excellent CS when needed.

Guess you know that CT has $50 rebate going on right now so if you are considering the laser you can typically get a 5% discount through Optics Planet and then the rebate.

Let us know how you like it.

OMB Express frequently puts their Streamlight TLR-1s on sale for around $90 and its 160 lumens. I carry one on a Glock 19 IWB everyday. The TLR-3 is a bit smaller, around $75, and at 120 lumens it's still brighter than the CT offering.

For half the price of the CT laser grip and light-guard (looks to be around $450) you could get a TLR-2 light/laser combo.
