O'connor once said that the Court would have to be more responsive to WORLD OPINION. Alito has never said that.

The NRA and a certain political party have promised to hammer the political aspects of this right up until November.

On Cam and Company last night, there is a segment called man on the street, he was talking to an anti gun individual that said "Have you seen the NRA's Main building its so big it scares the begebees out of me to think their so powerfull.

I for one as soon as money allows will become a 5 year member instead of 1 year at a time, Mainly to help with all the litigation they are about to embark on (Chicago and such) and hopefully make that building so big the Brady Campaign #$^* their foundation!!

Soon I will do better than that.
Everyone should be happy with this win and not be questioning it,concidering all the attacks that have been going on over the last decades.
Its time to start takeing ground back.

Am I correct in this understanding?

The NRA tried to brush this one away when it first started (because it appeared to be doomed had it gone to the SCOTUS with o'connor), but when it became a winnable endeavor they backed it?

I renewed today. IMHO supporting the NRA is a no-brainer, though we may nitpick and disagree on certain things. Overall the NRA is a force of good, and a heavyweight at that, in our cause. $35/year is an insignificant price for even a small effort at protecting our rights, and I believe we get quite a bit more than that.

I too wish they'd do more, but I am glad they do what they do, and I try to step up as an individual by spreading the word to the bliss ninnies and educating when the opportunities present themselves.

Thus, I believe we should make an extra effort to lend the NRA our support, particularly at this post-Heller time, particularly in the face of an uncertain election which, together with our Trotskyist Congress, might have "San Francisco values" echoing in the halls of the capitol for the next four years.

I got the call last night,sweet girl, soon to be single mom ,who owned a P22 and some type of shotgun.I was planning on renewing my one year membership,but she softened me up.By the end of our conversation,I sprang for the five yr membership.I was gonna buy a new handgun when my stimulus check arrives next week,now it will go toward my Amer Ex bill!
