The most common complaint I hear about the NRA is that "they look out for the gun industry and not the people." While I think that is total BS, I also ask why it matters? Our goals are the same. Glock wants to sell me what they make, and I want to buy what they make. It is my interest to buy a Glock 23, and it is in their interest to sell me one. The NRA serves both our interests, and I am damn proud to be a member of a group that fights tooth and nail to protect our civil rights. I would bet that without them, we'd be much worse off, without question.
Every person on this board knows how damned ridiculous the liberal and media lies are about guns. The NRA does more to shoot down those myths than anyone. And without their pressure, undoubtedly, some legislators on the fence would fall against us. If you are a gun owner, stop your crying, and join the fight. Out of 150 million gun owners in the US, there are only 4.5 million NRA members. At least I'm doing my part. I hope everyone here can say the same. If you give up on the NRA, and plan to let others finance the fight for YOU to keep a gun, then on your way out give up your guns, and file papers to run for Congress as a Democrat.
