What the heck is Zastava? Zastava has been in business 90 years longer than Glock or H&K! Remember the awesome Charles Daly ZDA? The Zastava EZ is pretty much the same gun with minor changes like the 1913 rail. This Sig clone is very high quality and the finish is excellent. The Zastava EZ is a very tight pistol and takes a few hundred rounds to loosen up. The trigger is above average and should get even better with use. Zero ammo problems. The Zastava is very accurate for it's size. So fun to shoot! This is an $850 gun for half the price; making the EZ9 a real bargain. It ranks at #14 because it is that good! Zastava is a quality company that makes long guns for Remington.

They ranked it 14th out of 25, so someone must think it's a good gun. If it's similar to the Charles Daly ZDAs then probably the main complain was the thickness of the grip and long reach to the trigger, especially for people with smaller hands. Do you notice that on yours?

I had a Charles Daly ZDA 9mm and an EAA EZ40 and both were accurate and reliable. The ZDA is called the CZ999 in Serbia and the newer model the EZ9 or aka CZ05 in Serbia, only differs by the hammer and accessory rail. Although the ZDA had a low round indicator that would poke the palm of your shooting hand when the mag got down to 3 rounds remaining.
I regret getting rid of the 9mm and will probably remedy that real soon!
The only thing is there is no grips or stuff like that to dress it up, but a sweet pistola to boot!
Good luck and nice gun.

I have no personal experience with Zastava's so I can't say anything pro or con about them. However, I started shooting CZ's before they were popular or well known. I hope you Zastava turns out to as good or better than CZ's have been. Good luck. Now get to the range and give us a report.

Zastava is also the manufacturer of the Yugo.

Nice aquisition at that price point. How's the availability of spare parts and magazines?

I've been seriously considering an EZ9 for use as a range gun, since my only other 9mm is a Taurus PT709. I'm anxious to hear and see the range report on this one....
My problem with the EZ9 is that its at a close price point to the Ruger P95. A local GS sells the P95 for $265(yes it includes two 15r mags) and with a P95 you know what you're getting. Parts, accessories and warranty work is all easily available.

That's what I've been reading from others as well. That, and the fact that there is no availability of aftermarket gets is probably enough to deter me from buying one. I thought I had found my next range toy, but I'm thinking it's probably going to be too thick for my small hands. I watched several YouTube videos of the gun last night though. There's a guy that's done 3 pretty good videos about the gun.

Still looking forward to a range report though.
