Hello Everyone,

I wanted to ask your oppinions on the "older ones". What I always hear with regards to any current production pistol from a major manufacturer is "The older ones had issues, the new ones don't"

Some guns go through 3-4 generations in a short period of time. I have a
3rd generation keltec, that I had to send back to go to a 4th generation frame.

SO, first off, how long have you waited for a gun you wanted? Till the kinks are worked out? Or are you the kind of person who likes to work through the gun's issues?

Also, how many generations is enough?!?!
:D

I have all the "generations" of the Colt 1911. IMO...They should have stopped at the Series 70. The 80 modifications are nonsense. MG

I didn't even think of a 1911 but you're right. Another example I had was my Taurus pt145, 3rd gen now.

Oh, I thought this was going to be a thread about THR members..... those old enough to remember each week waiting for the newest Star Trek episode, or even Gunsmoke for the really old ones :D
