there seems to be as many opinions on this subject as there are people. you have given me a wide range of items to think about, thanks everyone.

My always gun is a Beretta 21A in .22lr. It is not much but any bigger and I would leave it when I should be taking it along.

I had a P-32 but the FTE problem and the trigger axis breaking put me off those for good. Maybe I just got a bad one but there are plenty of reports of problems with the Kel-Tec P-32. Do a search here and you will uncover what I am talking about. It was the easiest gun to carry I have ever owned and I wish it worked out for me but you got to go with what works and not just what fits in your pocket.;)

For the moment my answer is a SIG P239 in .40, carried in a Kramer Confidant holster shirt. I also carry one spare mag in an Uncle Mike's knife pouch in a front trouser/jeans/shorts pocket.

I've worn this combo for up to sixteen hours straight with very little discomfort and strong concealment. It's definitely not the fastest rig out there, but I can carry just about anywhere without having to be concerned with a jacket/vest/untucked shirt, etc., as a covering garment. I wear the Confidant over a t-shirt and under a good button-down shirt, short or longsleeves, and I'm good-to-go.
