Opening Day

Today is opening day (Alabama, small game) and my old girl is 12 now and doesn't get around too well. But we went out and walked around a bit, counted 17 turkeys and 3 deer. Then we shared a bologna sandwich and some water, with a few peanut butter crackers for desert. Had to lift the old girl into the car, as she was so sore by then she couldn't get in by herself. She slept all the way home and then couldn't make it up the steps - had to carry her up to the house. Didn't fire a shot, but we had a darned good time.

I just sold a 4 year old female just so I would not have to go through that in a few years. Now I am dealing with all my shoes getting eaten and having to shampoo the carpet.

I wont have any pups for a few years but if you get to a point where you start looking for one let me know I have a few friends who frequently have good lab pups.
