Oregon--need help from a Douglas Ridge or Tri County Member!

Howdy! I'm down in Mt. Angel Oregon visiting my dad. We were all set to go over to tri-county to do a little rifle shooting this week. I'm trying to get him more interested in the sport. Unfortunately our relation who has a membership at Tri-County has bailed at the 12th hour due to a schedule conflict. The house is pretty close to Douglas Ridge but I doubt he'd be willing to dive in with the significant membership fees before ever having gone there. All these Oregon ranges seem to have strict barriers to non-member shooters. My own memberships are in Alaska and won't help here. I'm here for the rest of the week through the weekend of the fourth and would owe any THR member a solid for letting us come in as guests. He's got a Swedish Mauser I gave him for his birthday and I have my Schmidt-Rubin 1911 long rifle. He's pretty much a newbie and I have ten years of at least monthly trips to Alaska ranges.

Alternately, does anyone know of a Portland-area or Wil. Valley range that allows people to come in on a day pass?

Cosmoline, if Cougfan2 can't help you out, go to northwestfirearms.com and ask/look around there. There is a forum specifically helping folks located outdoor shooting areas. Much of the membership is from Oregon so you will find lots of advice.
