Over oiling a S&W J-Frame

This revolver was kind of dirty and nasty when I got it, so I took it apart. Wasn't as bad as I expected. Cleaned up nice, inside and out.

Sorry to disagree, Walkalong, but if that "Before" pic is indicative of the shape it was in, IMO it was gorgeous when you acquired it.

O'couse, most of my revolver-cleanup experience has to do with OLD examples.

I usually just dip a cotton swab in oil and let a drop or two run into the internals. Probably more than I need.
