Place to buy Fox Labs OC spray online?

Anybody know of a good place to buy Fox Labs OC spray online? I could wait until Monday to call them, but it would be convenient to place an order now so I don't forget come the work-week.

I was on my bike just now and realized how much I hate riding unarmed, especially at night through some not wonderful areas. I go through them because they're better lit than the areas closer to my house. So I guess it's a trade off, I could ride through a nice area and risk getting hit by a car, or ride through a crappy area and risk getting negatively confronted by people who aren't my kind of folks.

Anyways, I don't feel comfortable riding with a firearm as I ride pretty rough and it would both be jabbing my side and I'd be nervous about it falling out of a holster. Rather than using a backpack though, I figure a decent option is to just carry OC spray.

I'm interested in getting the 3 ounce flip-top. 2 ounces would probably be enough, but for only .75" more of height (and a couple bucks) I can get 3 ounces. 4 ounces is too big though.

I'm not sure about the spray vs medium cone. Both look acceptable in distance, but I worry about down here in Florida with the winds - perhaps the cone/fog would blow back in my face (which would be unpleasant to say the least). Here's the difference in distance:

The flip top I like as I had the same thing on my Mace Triple Action spray before I had to ditch it due to the plastic falling apart. It's pretty much the same design minus the finger grips which I don't care about, I'm more interested in the hotter formula:

Anyways, any help in a good place to buy the 3 ounce flip-top version online is appreciated. I don't like giving my credit card number to just any store, so I wanted to ask the THR braintrust for a reputable dealer.

I got a 1½-ounce Fox Labs Spray Foam from Defense Devices.com in Jackson, TN awhile back. I think I bought the belt holster and Sudecon wipes from them, too.
The price was pretty good, and the shipping was prompt.
They advertise "We use the highest level of SSL Internet security," and they won't spam you. I'd do business with them again.

"Tear gas gun" or "chemical weapon or device" means any weapon of such nature, except a device known as a "self-defense chemical spray." "Self-defense chemical spray" means a device carried solely for purposes of lawful self-defense that is compact in size, designed to be carried on or about the person, and contains not more than two ounces of chemical.

The only thing I didn't see is whether or not that applies to everybody permit or no permit. It mentions that you can carry that without a permit openly or concealed, but there is no mention of whether there is an ounce limit concealed with a permit. Perhaps that's an oversight by legislators, or perhaps that's intentional.

For the moment I suppose I'll keep it to 2 ounces unless I find a law that says otherwise. Thanks for the heads up Markk.

I would go with the Sabre Red DPS (alcohol base, not the water based one) over the Fox Labs spray. The Fox is hot, but the Sabre is hotter. It has twice the CRC level of the Fox Labs spray. Its also on sale right now at

Check into whats legal to carry in your jurisdiction. Some states require permits, some have net weight limitations and other restrictions.

Both are excellent sprays. Just keep your visor down if you have to fire from your bike, it will help shield your face from any blowback. I ride too and keep a can in my inside pocket of my jacket. I was thinking of velcroing a can to my bike somewhere, but i dont want it to get too hot and leak/explode

I don't think I'd have to spray from the bike.... but then again you never know.

Sabre Red I think is sold at the LGS down the street. I'll check Monday.

Just make sure to get the alcohol based spray, not the water based one. In my opinion, they work faster/better than the water based ones. Get the DPS (Dual Propellent) as it also uses nitrogen, which makes it come out faster and is more reliable under different temps. I have accidently got some residual mist in my eye when i walked over to the target i sprayed and it burned like nothing I have ever felt before.
