This is my SA GI build and everything is back together and function checks perfectly. This is the same frame and slide but new extended ejector with new retaining pin. What do you make of this unsightly alignment at the back end? This wasn't there before as a "stock" pistol, I've not fired it yet since the work was done (all by myself) but on the bench it seems to feed and extract without error.
Short of the test firing, I'll be duracoating it in combat black but I'm saving that for last once I know that everything is a go as far as fit and function.
Thoughts? Cosmetic? Problem? Notice the little ~1mm the slide lacks at the rear of being flush with the frame. Next size up in barrel link is advice I got elasewhere which I don't mind doing but thought I'd ask here, too.
Also see how the ejector is sitting...
parts list:
Wilson Combat extractor, ext ejector, hammer, firing pin, Wolff recoil spring (19#?) and firing pin spring, Smith and Alexander beavertail, S&A flat mainspring housing, STI trigger, Ext thumb safety and slide release. Otherwise all remaining parts are original to the pistol
