Pocket carry, but with baggy shorts

Your shorts go to your kneecaps? I thought the gangbanger look was for 16 year olds? :D

Buy shorts that hit you at mid thigh.

I carry my P3AT in cargo shorts all the time and have had no issues.

I used to have one of those type of holsters and decided they were just too risky. There simply isn't anything protecting the trigger area. I swapped it for an excellent little pocket holster my local gunshop guy carries that is comfortable, protects the trigger, and is easy to draw from. That said, I did enjoy shooting the P3AT with that Security Wallet type of holster; much easier IMO.
well, I know I am going to be ashamed of myself in the morning...
but I just can't help but giggle out loud at your sig line Quote, Bobo !
(with all due respect to Walkalong)

lest ye think that means "something other",
me, I have been known to drop a LCP in my cargo shorts pocket (front or rear), and/or sloppy fit jeans pocket (front or rear).. like tonite, quickie trip to the nearby qik-n-pick

"works for me" is a big way oversized solid color T-shirt
with a cheapo clip IWB holster that fits almost as well in pocket as in waistband, covers trigger, and not slippery slick
if it "prints", they can ask
if a LEO asks, it is "yes, sir", or "yes ma'm"
if it is a young lady, it is "o-wow, if you were looking that closely ma'm, thank you kindly, you just made my day !"
(neither has happened yet, but a man can still dream about one of those)

PS
on a more serious note, was a time the good folks at BATF had a real dim view of trigger accessible wallet holsters
since then, a whole lot of Kel-tecs been sold with IWB clip attached to the gun
I bought one (Kel-tec gun clip) for my LCP "just because", and it fit right up, still on it, too, but I just prefer to cover it w/ cheapo IWB holster: that li'l gun clip does not get in my way, I never was quick on out of holster, but always have been inclined to be slow/careful about insertion into holster

just wondering when it was the good folks at BATF got over "it" ???

"...what I will pocket carry..." Don't. Too hard to get at in a hurry.
The Tomcat. Please reduce the size of your pictures.

Gay as in festive or gay as in homosexual?

Thay have these places called alteration shops where grown men can get clothes altered so one may wear shorts fit your age.

Shorts that hit your knees makes grown men look like old rap never-made-it-rejects.

old fool
Why say sir or ma'am to an LEO that is younger than you? Respect comes with age and that's how they should address YOU.

My Ruger LCR disappears in my baggy shorts pockets, and the size of it fills out the pocket nicely. Something like a P3AT, which I also occasionally carry, is too small for the bigger pockets, but you can minimize that fact by using the Concealment Concepts holster that holds an extra mag. It also squares out the silhouette, which helps with concealment.

You know, these like ... generational gaps go both ways right?

I'm sure as hell not walking around in some old man speedos because they think it's more "proper."
Outdoor shorts ftw. (That's For The Win, for you folks who insist that everyone must dress your way or look like a kid.)

If you mean those "stretchy" material shorts, just about anything will pull them down. I vote for a Belly band. You can dissapear a fairly large handgun and it stays tucked nice and tight to your body. I even wear mine with the holster oriented to the front and above my belly.

I do not address anyone younger than me as sir or ma'am unless they have earned it. An LEO I've just met could be a crook for all I know. LEO's don't deserve respect for doing their job. They get PAID for doing their job. If they wanted respect, maybe they should have run for a judge position.

I've worn a uniform, jumped out of airplanes, been shot, and slept in the mud. Doing the job you signed up for and are paid to do does NOT earn respect.

I'm 55 and still address my seniors as sir and ma'am

Wow.

I'm stunned...

I know there really are those out there who do not respect our military and LEO and their service and sacrifice. I just never expected to see any of them on The High Road.

Your comments are disgraceful.

Meh, I don't know about Siring either. And frankly I don't expect to get Sirs.
Calling someone by their rank is just fine.

well sir, it doesn't strike me as gun related, but I was asked

habit

I call a whole lot of people "sir", ma'am", age has nothing to do with it, and not limited to people in uniform
it doesn't cost me a dime

somebody in uniform, it's automatic (Pavlovian, if you prefer)
I assume they are all worthy of respect, until they prove me wrong by individual behavior

somebody calls me sir, I don't object, unless they make a habit of it, in which case, I say, "I'm not 'sir', just 'Bert'.. ", and offer a handshake.

PS
'tis a bit of a paradox thing, though
me, I figure you deserve love from somebody, merely by merit of getting born
all the rest, you are obliged to earn the old fashioned way
I just prefer to assume most people have, unless....

I pocket carry my J-Frame 340pd or my G26 all summer long while wearing cargo shorts with deep front pockets. I'll also carry the 340 in my back pocket using a wallet style holster. I prefer carry the 340, it hardly weighs anything and disappears with ease.

My comments are not disgraceful, they are what I learned while I endured the training for the right to wear the maroon beret of a PJ. Does the fact I worked my butt off for 18 months to become a PJ earn respect? No. It only shows they couldn't make me quit. The man in uniform with the MOH around his neck has my greatest respect, without question.

Respect is earned. Just because you wear a uniform does not mean you have earned respect. The uniform does not make the man, the man makes the uniform.

I pocket carry a p32 when anything else doesn't work. My favorite pc is a snubbie. They draw a lot easier - the semi auto wants to bring the holster with it. I recently purchased thunderwear lol funny name - but it works great - my g19 disappears comfortably. Sitting isn't an issue because I offset mine to appendix - about 1:30.

On the topic of calling officers sir/mam. I give respect by treating them courteously and using the manners my parents taught me. If for you calling someone sir is how you show respect that's fine. I often get called sir by people I know are kissing my butt. Plus some female officers don't like to be called mam. Lol. Hey in the military if I called a chief sir I would get my ass chewed. It kind of breaks you of the habit of showing respect that way.
