Boy, it seems there are a lot of ND type happenings lately... I wonder if they will yank this guys permit?
I wouldn't be surprised if they did up here.
On an interesting note, Saturday I was in the only semi-decent sized local gun shop still in business someone pulled out a Springfield XD 45 to show me,, out of the blue. He dropped the mag and cleared it properly, but it is still a big no-no to do that in this particular shop...
I am wondering what the odds are it was the same guy?
Groton — When City police were called to the aid of a gunshot victim Sunday night, they didn't have to look any farther to find the shooter.
Police said Jacob Philips accidentally shot himself in the left leg with a Springfield .45-caliber handgun. Police were called to 60 Allen Street just after 8 p.m., where they found Phillips wounded.
Phillips was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police said they do not expect to find evidence of foul play, but will continue to investigate the situation.
Police said Phillips did have a gun permit.
