I have a couple of really good friends that are members of the Texas Highway Patrol (read State Police)

One came into my office the other day and was relating his experiences over the last 12 hours while serving duty as the first line of defense of our fine C in C.

Seems that on this particular day the THP were using the duty as a chance to get some training in for the Riot Squads. THere happened to be 3 squads on site when some of the protestors walked up to the barricade and informed the troopers standing there that they (protestors) were going to walk past the barricade. Trooper gets on the radio and informs his superior there is an attempt to breech. Vans scramble and within a minute there are 240 troopers in full riot gear filling the roadway shoulder to shoulder and 6 deep.

I heard Sheehan is leaving right when one of the locals donated land for the protestors to camp on. One of my friends inspected the spot and said it is about 1.5 acres out of a coastal field. There are fire-ant mounds about every 6 inches. He said he would not sleep out there if you paid him triple overtime.

There is some justice in the world. A few million fire-ants should make short work of a bunch of CA citified protestors....let's see how much dedication to their cause they have.

Mixed Feelings - But Think She is Being Used by the Left

I feel sorry any Mom (or Dad) that looses a child in a war. But in this case I feel her best of intentions have been hijacked by anti-American protestors who are using her to suggest we simply "Cut and Run".

In my view, this dishonors Ms. Sheehan's son and what he lived and died for in the defense of the United States and the freedom we enjoy.

see my sig, especially debbie's input. I rarely agree with commentators 100%, but on this, Rush has it correct; and Debbie [God Bless her Soul] drives the point home.
