Greetings,
I'm debating taking the plunge and getting a set of Elk grips, since Sambar is still barred from collecting with no end in sight.
How does Elk compare? Is it a compromise in stability, or just in appearance?
How about Moose? Hso describes it as "thin and porous", but can it be stabilized my gripmakers?
The most affordable source seems to be the guy called "executioner" who posts here and on S&W Forum, anyone have an opinion on his products? Antler Crafts of Oregon made even more affordable ones, but the maker had a stroke, so his wife is just selling off the current stock on hand, mostly 1911 grips for around $60.
Thanks for any input,
-MV
