Assuming that the reader has different weapon platforms, do you use a different/dedicated type of sling for your platform? Do you prefer synthetic or natural material?
For instance, I use a Specter 3-point sling with HK hooks for something like an SBR/Pistol platform, because of adjustability and the stability that provides. Any other AR platform will sport a BDS dual sling with HK hooks.
For SR competition, I use an M1 cotton sling with quick release hardware. It provides quick adjustment, it is very inexpensive and stores well. I could have gone with a leather sling, but natural products require maintenance, and they are not adjustable on the fly. Besides, the price is more than what I would want to spend.
For a pump shotgun, I use an Outdoor Connection sling. It provides quick adjustment, comes with a magazine cap adapter and it does not require a stock sling post.
I have a TacShield single point that I do not use much. It looks cool, but unless wearing a tactical vest, no practical use for me.
What do you use and why?
