i bought a Rossi 461 2inch revolver in .357magnum 5 days ago, and after shooting 200 rounds the firing pin broke. I heard the Rossi gun firing pins are prone to breaking, and the warranty service wants me to mail in the broken pin to avoid the shipping fee.

Now my question is how do I remove it? I can't figure out how it's pinned in. Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of firing pin is it? Is it on the hammer or in the frame? If it's on the hammer, you have to drive out the retaining pin and just lift it out.

the firing pin is on the hammer, one i'll try to hammer it out and report back. thanks
