I have a 3" model 88 and the firing pin broke, so I ordered Two.
I have the spare around here somewhere, and I would suggest if you find any, then order a spare if you are going to keep the gun.

You are going to think I am stupid or F.O.S. . but If you can not find a firing pin for your Model 68, do you still have the broken piece.
I bet the pin tip is all that sheared off like mine did.
When I was waiting for my new firing pin, I repaired the old one with a piece of Piano wire.
I drilled into the body of the remaining part that goes into the hammer after it was removed from the hammer.
I drilled a .062 hole with a 1/16 drill bit, and then silver soldered a piece of .062 Piano wire into the hole to act as the actual pin.
I cut it off to a reasonable length and then put the whole thing back on the hammer with a pin that I made out of an Nail turned down to .115" with my Poor Mans Lathe, ( Drill motor and file. ) I couldnt find the right size Metric roll pin.
I Peened the retainer pin in place by punching it in the center of both sides of the ends of it.
I put the hammer back in the gun and trimmed it to the proper length.
The firing pin was replaced when the new one was delivered about three months later.
But the gun worked fine and I fired four boxes of ammo in that time with no problems.
I have to replace firing pins the same way on a lot of the antique pistols that I do, and have never had a problem or failure.
When I had access to a lathe, I replaced many tips on rifle firing pins the same way.

I have reworked S&W firing pins to fit Rossi hammers. Doesn't take much fitting.

^Considering the Rossi is "inspired" by the Smith & Wesson I am not surprised (a good thing to know if the firing pin on my Rossi needs replacement, although I would want a gunsmith to any fitting for me).

I just ordered a set of S&W springs and used them in my Rossi MOD 68 that I was gifted as a box-o-parts less the springs. Works fine now.
