I bought a new stainless Ruger Mini 14 last year, and the rifle had one problem -- it shot way left even with the iron sights adjusted all the way to the right.

I sent it back once for repair and it came back the same way -- still shooting way left.

I sent Ruger a polite letter of complaint and they agreed to replace it with a new one.

The new one arrived today and it is perfect -- sights are dead on.

Thank you, Sturm Ruger.

Glad to hear it! I assume they are a good company to purchase their products from? I hope this type of behavior is common on their part. (I don't any any guns yet, and have been considering an SP101 for CCW.)

So THAT's where my dividend went!

I'm glad that my service department finally got off of their butts and took care of you like they should have the first time! :scrutiny:

Post any further troubles here. I'm keeping notes (bad or good) for the next stockholder's meeting. ;)

The warranty is on the other side of the barrel from the safety warning...
I always thought the safety warning should have been micro-printed around the circumference of the muzzle face... :)

I had bought a like new Ruger MKII pistol off a guy that shot to one side as well. He sold it to me for $75 so I didn't complain....even though I told him Ruger would fix it for free. I sent it in to Ruger and they replaced the top end (the serial numbered part) and even though I had to wait again for our Ca. 10 day waiting period to get it I was happy. They reimbursed me all out of pocket expenses for the replacement as well. I have never had a bad warranty issue with them.

Ruger has always had an excellant reputation for standing behind their products. I've never had a problem with them in 25 years.

I bought a new Mklll 22/45, first one I'd ever owned. I decided to strip it down and clean. You Mk owners know well what I am going to say next. I could not get the blamed thing reassembled. When I did get it back togeather, it was completely locked. I mean I could not fire, disassemble, or even rack the bolt. Took it back to the dealer I had purchased it from, he suggested I send it back to Ruger. I did, along with a letter explaining that I had messed it up, and a check for $40.00 (minimun labor chg., plus cost of shipping it back). Two weeks or so later, gun shop calls to tell me my Ruger is back. I pick it up, and open it to find my correctly reassembled 22/45, along with my uncashed check! :D Ruger is okay, in my book! (Altho they still need that model redesigned, IMHO)
