Hi... I have problems with my mkIII pistol. It has been fired about 2000 rounds and now the bolt doesn't want to stay in the back after the last shot's been fired... I've used CCI standard velocity and Velocitor rounds... wrong ammo?
Can there be some place that i haven't cleaned properly? Help me please...

First thing: clean it well. Get some Q-tips down in and around that lever and oil it. There are only really a couple causes, and the most likely is a gummed up hold-open lever.

deus, there could be other issues than cleaning because my brand new ruger mark iii was did this a few times the first day i shot it brand new last week. i think i had about 30 rounds through it when did this for the first time. basically i dry fired the gun thinking there was another round since the bolt was closed. i then did another 20 or 40 rounds and it it did it again. I maybe shot 120-150 rounds through it this first night and it did it 3 times total i believe.

i was using high velocity ammo, so that was not the cause. i did it with cci blazer and federal ammo. (i used both that night)

so maybe there is an issue with the gun causing this beyond just a cleaning issue, since mine was def. clean being brand new.
