I have just about been convinced to purchase one of these tell me how are they holding up for u guys pros. Cons . Thanks
The Bolt Carrier Group, buttstock, and buffer tube are Mil-Spec. The buffer is standard carbine weight, but M4 Spec calls for an H1 heavy buffer. The lack of dustcover & forward assist is not Mil Spec. The lower receiver has the trigger guard integrated in the forging, which exceeds Mil Spec. The upper & lower receivers are black hard anodized equivalent to Mil Spec. The front sight base is F marked, F height Mil Spec. The handguards are not heat shielded, which is not Mil Spec, but you can get Mil Spec dual heat shield handguards online for $25. The bbl. steel is 4140, which is a step below Mil Spec. The bbl. twist is 1:8, while mil spec is 1:7. However, the bbl. is Melonited (black nitride), and 5R rifled, which exceeds Mil Spec for accuracy & comes close to (if not better than) Mil Spec for durability. Are they mil spec?
Yes indeed. My personal Sport is wearing a Falcon ErgoGrip, and MagPul MOE buttstock, which were inexpensive comfort upgrades. I added a Troy MRF-CX free float rail to get the longer handguard setup I like better. So all after market rails grips stocks ect.will work
