S&W M48 new to me

I went to the Reno Gun Show Friday, haven’t been in a couple years.
I was looking for a S&W M25-2. No reasonably priced finds.

So I see this M48 in a display. It looks pretty good so I check it out. It’s a no dash. Only test fired and no turn line.
The barrel does have a few minor cosmetic spots but nothing to discourage me.
We negotiate and arrive at $725. I considered that a fair price for the condition.

No box/papers/tools.

Very nice. Years ago I had a 4" barreled version of the Model 48. Very handy to have around and a sweet shooter. Thanks for sharing.

My dad had a 48 8 3/8". Was wicked on chucks with it.
I went with a later 648 6" and also ran it in Field Pistol.

It also an excellent shooter. Scary good.

Loved both, but I think the reg 48 is the better looker.

From what I’ve seen any S&W 22 selling for lately, that’s a good price, especially in that condition.
