Ok I have been looking around at knife laws for South Carolina. I ran across the old law which basically prohibited switch blades and knifes with blades over 2 inches. Then I came across a bill passed in 2008 (full bill here http://www.scstatehouse.gov/sess117_2007-2008/bills/968.htm) that seems to eliminate the length restriction.

The main question I have here is does this eliminate the length of the blade thing completely? Is there any other laws that would limit the blade length on a knife you are carrying? Also I can't find much regarding the concealed or not nature of the knife, aside from 16-23-460.

While I was reading I also went and read 16-23-460. The section of most interest right here to me was section C
(C) The provisions of this section also do not apply to rifles, shotguns, dirks, slingshots, metal knuckles, knives, or razors unless they are used with the intent to commit a crime or in furtherance of a crime.

Reading of 16-23-460 leads me to believe that the listed items of section C are not considered concealed weapons unless they are used/in possession during the commission of a crime.

Am I reading this right?

I have always been told that metal knuckles are illegal in SC.

SC laws are pretty cut and dry on handguns, but pretty obscure on knives and other weapons in my opinion.
