I was flipping through the channels tonight, and came across a Swedish series.
I started watching just in time for one of the best scene I've ever seen.

Movie: This was in Sweden, a writer has a visitor at his house in the forest.
He then looks out the window and sees 2-3 SUV's with about 10 guys in BDU's and balaclavas armed with AK's coming toward the house.
He then grabs a scoped hunting rifle, yells out the combination to his gun safe as he goes for the front door.
He goes out on the porch (Bad tactic) and shoots one or two of them at about 30-40 meters.
All of a sudden, a director comes running out between the trees, yelling that it is all a joke! :uhoh:
It was all a hidden camera stunt.
Atleast one of the actors that were shot perished.

In the end, the writer is let go without any charges filed, he gets his guns back, and the director is charged with placing his crew and actors in great danger by the nature of the stunt.

Now, I have seen some REAL hidden cam stuff from the US and I wonder how they even dear do some of the stunts they do.
I'm sure many of us here would react like the writer in the movie, allthough with some better tactics I bet. :)

Kobun,
you raise an interesting question
i think read something on another thread where the poster was wondering what will happen when someone does some stupid joke stunt on some passerby who is an off-duty cop or CCW holder and they draw down on the juvenile pranksters or worse, the act is interpreted as a threat to life and the person shoots someone
id bet that would be the end of that show

I once saw one of those wacky Japanese game shows and they were going around to people's houses while they were sleeping at night and waking them up in various ways. The ways that they woke them up included sneaking into their houses and shooting off a cannon in the bedroom, shooting off a bazooka in the bedroom etc... I was just thinking how that would be over after one episode in Texas. One dead guy is all it takes.

It wouldn't work very well here, but I don't think it's the smartest thing to do anywhere. How long until one of the victims has a heart attack and dies? Funny thing is that "Scare Tactics" had a scenario on their show where a fake victim acted as if he had a heart attack and died to scare the real victim. I guess some folks really can't see the forest for the trees. :scrutiny:

I have been waiting for something like that to happen on Scare Tactics. I imagined myself in one of the situations, a family in a trailer. The trailer starts rocking and fog surrounds it. This guy in a Yeti outfit mashes his face against the window and growls. The words that came to mind when I saw myself in that scenario. "00 buckshot." :D

He only shot one of them?

If that happened in California he'd be in prison and the director would get rich from the book and movie deals. :barf:

I've wondered for some time why something really bad hasn't happened during the filming of one of those shows yet.

My guess is that they screen out participants before hand. Releases and waivers are probably involved as well.

All it takes is for this to happen to a THR'er and it's all over.

Me, woke up last night at 4am to sounds of crashing and broken glass.. The neighbor was doing SOMETHING next door. I was about to call the cops, I thought there was a thief, but then I heard the sound of the wok going and smelled saute'd garlic.. AT 4am!! Guess it wasn't a thief..

But 00Buck? Sounds about right..
