Sell AR-15 and Keep AK-47?

I'll be another to say "Keep 'em both" !

Hurricane Rita had the potential for zombies. Had to be there. No zombies made it as far inland as my place but I slept better knowing we were protection equipped.

Nothing like sleeping to the hum of a generator.

I'd drop the AR and replace it with a DM's rifle. If you can get something in 7.62X54R, that would be fabulous. I never liked AR's very much; I've always been a fan of crufflers and Kalashnikovs.

Personally, I'd keep the AR provided it's running perfectly.
In my experience, a good M-16/AR will run just fine and take a lot more abuse than they get credit for.
I've had literally half a dozen AK's. I love the reliability of a good one (some are not reliabe) but I can't shoot them well. With an AR style rifle I can hit what I shoot at. I'd keep the AR.

Keep which ever makes you feel comfortable with and can hit what you are aiming at. If you are not someone who shoots regularly then the AR should not rust or give you problems with long term storage unless the mag spring gets tired; yea it is not supposed to but stuff happens.

You might keep the cheapest; that way when the authorities go house to house to disarm the home owners (Katrina anyone) you will not have lost a big investment.! Maybe sell both and get a $200 shot gun.

Myself I would keep both for a warm fuzzy feeling.
