Thank you Bob! I'm so excited! I can't wait until Sunday!
A friend of mine is trying to talk me into buying a Baby Glock. I am going to have to do some research. He has one and has invited me to shoot with him this weekend.
G-19 is my usual CCW, I shoot the little one (G-26?) just as well. MUST have a holster for 'em. Despite what Glock and the proponents say, they're not the same as a DA revolver, IMHO. They shold have an external safety.
That's one shiny little gun! Congrats on already being at $1200.
I'd definitely do a lot of shooting with it before you get a "Baby Glock." I love Glocks, but I really don't like the sub-compact double-stacks. The regular compact G19 is still comfortable, but the smaller ones are just as fat as the full-sized ones and not nearly as comfortable. You'd probably at least want the finger extension to get a comfortable grip. The real problem is that if you're going to carry it concealed, it's not going to fit in your pocket, and if you're going to use an IWB holster, it's still a fat gun, so you might as well get the bigger one with more capacity, longer line of sight, better grip, etc.
You may have a different opinion if you have small hands, but if I had small hands I don't think I'd like the finger grooves and thick grips of a Glock.
If you want a smaller auto for concealed carry, I'd check into the single-stack Kel-Tecs like the 38T (crazy small) and the PF-9 (very small 9mm, but still fits very comfortably in my hand).
Of course, this is getting a bit OT for the revolver forum. Sorry!
If you use the same instincts as when you bought the Colt Special Lady......you will do fine with what ever comes next.....after you buy the washer and dryer of course !
