My wife has a small screen printing buisness and I've recieved her "OK" to do a few different gun-related T-shirts. I can think of a few ideas (" An armed society is a polite society" or "I'm not a hunter, I'm a wildlife populate specialist") but these have all been done before, and I'd like to do something new.

I can't do anything that would infringe on trademarks (ie "Glock vs 1911, when will it end?" ;) )

BUT, with that out of the way, what gun-related T-shirt ideas would you like to see? This thread is more of a knowledge gather, if there becomes a distinct opinion, I may add a poll or something. I'm open to all ideas, we can print pictures directly from the computer and my wife is sort of a photoshop guru...

Your thoughts?

Edit: forgot to add, if there are gun models (AK, AR, 1911, etc) that are "brand independent", we can use those!
Edit#2: she can do transfers. cheaper price, but less durable.
Edit#3: she can screen-print pictures. ie: huge white tail deer in crosshairs, or AK and AR crossed over each other, etc.

I do like the ideas, but could you be a little specific?

For example: "The second ammendment is for you too"

What font? Front or back of the shirt? How about putting a picture underneath (representation of the BOR?) Or maybe include specific court cases on the back? Or certain quotations regarding the 2A?

Not trying to make it too elaborate, but i would like to make it a little challenging for my wife ;) She gets tired of the "phrase only" shirts.

bogie - yes she can. Price depends on complexity, size, number of colors, number to be printed, etc.

She basically said she'll make whatever design I can come up with, and I thought who better to ask than all the guys/gals here :D

what'd you have in mind?

Edit: the boss (wife) says that transfers are cheaper than traditional, however they aren't as durable.

It’s been done before but I still like the phrase “Peace thru superior firepower”
Or something like “carry concealed” with a happy face :)

I think the same font style the Decloration of I ndependance was written in I prefer to keep it on the back and keep it simple.

"When the SHTF and its TEOTWAWKI my BOB is ready." :D

"What caliber for zombies?"

"9mm is just a .45 set on stun. Real men don't do stun."

"Aim to maim" for all those vintage Eastwood fans out there.

As for a serious pro-RKBA shirt I like "Gun control works!" on the front, then on the back either "It helps you hit what you're aiming at!" or "That's why the streets of L.A., D.C., and Chicago are so safe to walk at night..."

I have more ideas...

Here are two ideas:

When I used to live in Illinois, I always wanted a shirt that said:

Welcome to Illinois: Where only the criminals carry guns.

Since I now live in Missouri where state law specifically states "concealed", I want a shirt that says:

In accordance with state law, my .45 is completely concealed.

Don't do the no-guns signs... half the time you can't read the text on a tee shirt so the image has to be positive IMO.

My advice: Work with Oleg to create a posterized/monochrome version of some of his posters... his "Peace through superior firepower" image (the hand doing a victory V with the barrel of rifle) would go to 1-3 colors very nicely.

Upsize the wording (and probably lap the image w/ the words) and you could create a very cool image. I'm thinking in terms of doing the gun/hand (and maybe words) in multi-color on a black or camo shirt... sorta like some of the che/rasta shirts you see.

That's not the only worthwhile image for adaptation of course. Not sure what Oleg thinks of the idea but it's worth pursuing.

Not directly. That's why you posterize and the like. It's an art in its own right I guess but not that difficult. I've done a few images back when I was working for a company that had a rather fancy full color logo and wanted tee shirts for promotional and other reasons.

Example of what I mean: two color (and not the best colors), white background for light/camo shirts... this was just a few minutes 'cause I didn't want to waste a bunch of time demonstrating the obvious...

No, it's not the most obviously "gun" image around... but IMO that's part of the point of the original image...

1. Molon Labe

Two lines, large letters, on the chest--in the greek text: ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
With a small text credit, saying something "Oleg Volk, APS" or whatever....

2. "My guns are safer than SCUBA Ted's Car."

It's important to have these texts on the front, for us old farts who habitually wear vests, or jackets, or sports coats.

Available in long sleeve, and LONG sizes.

I want a black t-shirt that says the following on the front:

HK (in plain, non-trademarked big red letters)
Because You Suck. And We Hate You. (in smaller white letters)

For some reason (and I own and enjoy several HK products) I think I'd actually really like a shirt like this.

A concert tour style shirt. Maybe black, with a white AR silhouette over the left breast on the front. On the back, "GENOCIDE DISARMAMENT TOUR"

Berlin, Germany 1939
...
Darfur, SUDAN 2003

List all the historic genocides predicated by disarmament in history like tour dates.

My $0.02. Anything that informs people that you are carrying a concealed handgun whilst wearing the shirt is a bad idea. That's coming from a guy that open carries.

I would love a Molon Labe shirt.

I'll be back if I come up with any ideas!
