Soliciting ideas for a T-shirt (gun related)

I kinda like this one, though it doesn't work very well on a t-shirt.

but don't forget Luke 22:36
"...he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."

Or photoshop Washington crossing the Delaware with mace in his hand( or French tickler) saying something about the Revolution, don't retreat, I'll protect you all just stay low, we'll givem hell, lets teach them a lesson etc etc.

Or below have written "Sans guns, they may have spoken Viva la Revolution!"

Here's some quotes that could be referenced to owning firearms that I found in Sun Tzu's The Art of War:

"Thus the skilled can make themselves invincible.
They cannot cause the enemy’s vincibility"

"With one skilled at defense the enemy does not know where to attack."

okay, in all seriousness, I like gun shirts that mostly other gun people will recognize, that is why molon labe is nice. I'd like to see a few other catchphrases like that take off, simple things that gunnies would recognize, but wouldn't be like the 'concealed carry permit holder' badge or the sheepdog thing.

For a long time I thought 22:36 would be a good one.

black t-shirt, 22:36 on it real large and in white.

Here's one side of a t-shirt I did for the 2000 SAS rally in DC. Mom's in assisted living now, so if you want to market it she could use the money.

I added the AR's to someone else's artwork.

Someone else can think of a slogan.

Back when I did air-brush shirts I would paint shoulder-holsters, bandoleers, load-bearing vests with grenades and Ka-Bars, MP-5s on friction straps, and other similar stuff on the shirts. Large pistols that appeared to be tucked in the pants went over well, too... at least in Alabama.

I also did "things" shirts - "Things are looking up", "Some things never change", "It's just one d###ed thing after another", etc.

Seems almost like another lifetime.

Allright, molon labe is going to be one of the shirts. I'll try to get it printed this weekend, and post a few pictures (See if you like it).

As for the other ideas, I'm very interested in a few of the phrases and a picture similar to the one Atla posted. Time permitting, I may get some photoshop'd versions done up and a poll seeing what people would prefer. (Key phrase here is "time permitting" :)

i like Luke 22:36 and this one:

The police failed to protect 11,000 people
from being murdered in 2007.

Who are you counting on to protect you?

(silhouette of a handgun)
They're not just for criminals anymore<<<< except maybe that line.

i dont think enough non-gun people know what molon labe means. at all. plus, its confrontational and aggressive, as it was ment to be.

Good stuff.

For the artist that does not know how or wear to pawn your own wares. Please visit cafepress.com where you can use your artwork on clothing, mugs, stickers, and so on. Neat site, absolutely huge. Fast service.

What about the old beer bottle cap stuff where you have to interpret the saying through images. Not sure what it's called, but see the link below of a bib I had made for our newborn son. I contacted the specific person who owns the artwork and asked them to change the saying from cool to cute. Next morning I had an e-mail with the change and a link to buy the product.

for a weak example in the gun arena.

Guns are cool

How about, a picture of a 1911, and underneath, When uninvited Strangers Call at 3AM, who do you want answering the phone Kind of a Hillery thing

Quick Question. Would these shirts be available for order?
I live in South Dakota and have not seen anyone posting from my neck of the woods.

How about just guns?

Maybe you can use one of my FAVORITE t-shirts as an idea and do something similar.

I wear it every chance i get :)

Update: The shirts will be available to order. At this point (due to us not having an ecommerce site setup), we'll probably start at first with a group buy or something similar.

I'll have the first prototype by Monday, to give you guys/gals and idea of quality.

I'll be making the Molon Labe shirt, just because so many people have asked for it, but I'm also planning on some of the other ideas (possibly Luke 22:36, and definitely one of the statistics quotes.)

I like some of the ideas in which they use an anti-phrase, but with a pro-gun clause.

Another idea I have, is having all the variations of an AK (or 1911), different furniture/accessories, old AWB features, etc. On the back, and on the front "Celebrate Diversity".

I swear I've seen this before, so if someone can tell me "yeah I have that shirt" then I wont pursue it.

Another idea is the old "Sporting Rifle" with a pic of 10/22 stock, then "Assault Rifle" with a 10/22 using thumbhole stock, muzzle break, hi-cap mags, etc. This would have been a lot better during the ban, but if people would wear these now it might help us make people realize how stupid the ban was in the first place.

brighamr:

I have a "celebrate diversity" t-shirt--I picked it up off somebody on Cafe Press. Good Idea--but poorly done; the slogan in small letters, and with a field showing many different handguns (accurately portrayed) in rows and columns. Poor execution, but a great idea.

Do a new one, with one simple ghost image under the logo, I think....

I concur fully with using anti-phrases, with the pro-gun / ironic twist. Carefully done, this can be a tasteful way to promote pro-gun thinking.

Given the heightened aware of this (political year) and the current and coming publicity out of the Heller decision, it's a good year for spreading the message--

so, how about--
The 2nd Amendment
is NOT
about duck hunting

and, personally, I much love the slogan in my signature line--but I have never figured out a decent design to use for wearing it.

If you can sort out two or three such slogans and do them with similar fonts / design concepts, you'll have a strong corporate identity.

About payment: Simply set up a paypal account. This is clothing, not guns. I think that will work...

LOVE the globe just guns t shirt idea but also had the idea of making a peace sign out of guns, probably ar's and make the outter circle out of ammo

Samuel Colt quote

Have searched the net looking for a shirt that says "God created man, Sam Colt made them equal" with no luck.

I would prefer the quote on the back, in clean block letters (white on navy perhaps) and a revolver on the left front, maybe a Walker Colt
