Two new sets of exhibition grade walnut target stocks from Culina Custom Grips came in yesterday. I had him shape them a little thinner than usual and they turned out fantastic! I put the claro on the 24 and black on the 29. The claro walnut turned out particularly nice.

That is an outstanding brace of revolvers.
I like the Walnut grips too.

They do fine work.
Having them made a little thinner would be great for me too.
Are the grips thinner than their usual make, or thinner than the hand mold you might have set them?

Bet you have some nice leather for them as well. Nice of you to hold back the leather so we could focus on the Culina"s

Thanks gents!

The grips are thinner than their usual "Coke bottles". I usually like a thicker grip on a single action but the old checkered target stocks on S&W's are way too chunky to be comfortable. Hogue's are too thin. Their standard grips are about as thick as the old checkered target stocks. I asked that these be thinned to the same dimensions as my Herrett's Roper stocks. They fit my hand very well and are very comfortable. I can't wait to shoot with them.

I should take a picture showing the profiles of the three Culina's and the Ropers.

My personal leather situation is pretty pathetic. I've made some nice N-frame holsters for customers but have none of my own. If I had to carry a 6" N-frame right now, it'd be in a Bianchi. I have made a few single action holsters for myself and some just for the website but none for DA's. I'll get around to it.....eventually.

Those are beautiful (both the stocks and the revolvers). I really do enjoy looking at, and shooting with, smooth grips.

Those are the nicest looking stocks that I have seen . They are a beautiful match .

Culinas are sometimes too perfect. I have a set that I don't use because they look plastic. Seriously, everyone thinks they are plastic. That wasn't really the look I was going for. LOL

Wood works!

Very pretty!
Nothing likewood to lookgood and soak recoil up!
I want grips like that on my Model 10
I have Hogues that leave voids under the trigger finger!
Wood grips fill the hand!
Expensive yes. but overall money well spent!
Grips make the gun!
For competition, some rubber grips are good some like Pachmeyers not so good.

The stock wood grips are too small and don't give a good grip. Look good tho!
There is a flood of handmade grips from Asia flooding the market. some looks nice but I haven't seen any in the flesh.$40 is real cheap for combat grips!

Beautiful CraigC. It seems there are fewer and fewer of us each year that appreciate a revolver.

I love wood on mine but for bullseye competition it prefer houges for an off the shelf grip.
