Switching Safety on H&K USP 9mm

I found a used H&K USP 9mm for what I think is a good price of ~$500. The only problem is the thumb safety is on the right side instead of the left. Does anyone know the ease, or cost associated with switching this safety to the left side? One person behind the counter said they could just switch it over for me there, when I went to purchase, I was told it needed to be shipped to H&K and would likely cost my $50
