Switching saftey on H&K USP for lefty

My son purchased a H&K USP and wanted to know if the saftey could be switched to the left side. Been searching a bit and haven't found any details. Contacted H&K but they haven't got back yet. Anyone here have experience with this?

Sorry for the slow response, however I do not believe that this can be accomplished without ordering a new safety. They are not interchangeable, but a lefty safety could be ordered and installed without issue IIRC. Hope this helps, Mav.
