I was thumbing through a magazine a week or so back while i was in the "library" :D... I saw a ad for a badge you can purchase that states your a CC permit holder... Could it be possible you could be in "trouble" if you presented a fake badge to a LEO... I know it just states CC permit holder but i felt uneasy when i read it about having that in my wallet or pants pocket at possible ramifications if it was saw or perceived in a different light than what its truely for... Any LEOs out there that can weigh in on this.

I was also wondering about the CCW Sash. Would that be a good substitute to the Badge? I wonder what would have happened if George Zimmerman pulled out a CCW Sash?

I saw an ad on the internet along with a cool holder for a sash to be worn on the belt. You just whip it out real quick.

bad, bad, bad idea

Why not get some cuffs and loop em in the back of your belt, just like the TV cops? Wouldn't that be really cool?

Perhaps try open carry with your gun, badge, and cuffs. Would that look so "official". I bet it would impress the chicks.

Real cops are always offended by pretend cops. Go ahead and do the above suggestions. Let me know how the food in the lockup is.

I hate saying this,,,but with such a volatile topic, and the OP has so very few posts, it is possible he is TROLLING

The "I'm the hero here to save the day" mentality is out of control the way it is, without that garbage.

short answer: no
long answer: nooooooooooooooooooo

these ideas are so [strike]silly[/strike]stupid I'd bet half the sales are as gag gifts

I highly doubt any 17 year old punk kid that's suspended from school knows what CCW means.

Had he been wearing a sash though maybe the kid might have at least known that Zimmerman was not on the prowl for trouble and was just trying to keep his neighborhood safe. Still not a good enough reason for me, and even then it should just say neighborhood watch or something similar on it.

Can you spell "vigilante"? I can just count the ways a prosecutor can come up with to try and convict you during your trial after a self-defense shooting. Really bad idea.

Asked and answered in many ways and times, consensus is always the same ,bad idea.

Yeah, having a permit to carry a concealed weapon, and then advertising it on your shirt seems contradictory, somehow.

Of course, the OP was asking for LE opinion and I'm not LE, but it seems odd.

The badge thing only works if you have the whole Dog The Bounty Hunter costume.

Why do people not want people to know they are carrying a gun. I would rather everybody know I had one so they would just leave me alone. Just wondering.
