The CZ 452 .22 LR

After reading about the CZ 452 for several years now and hearing all the brags about what a great rifle they were I bought one! I recently purchased a CZ 452 American and they are every bit as great a .22 rifle as everyone said. Mine shoots about everything quite well and as most posters said they really shine with Wolf MT as mine will shoot groups in the .3's at 50 yards which isn't bad for a light weight sporter. I am very glad I got mine before the price increase as it appears they have gone up around $80.00 to $100.00 a rifle depending on who the dealer is. Any one holding back on purchasing a new bolt gun in .22 needs to take the plunge and own one of these fine rifles. I waited much to long!

Congrats, enjoy it. Now all you need is an Eric Brooks triggger kit. CZ raises their prices 10-15% each year.

I bought my 452 American early last year for $339 and have seen them continue to rise in price. Still a great bargain for a nice 22lr sporter , walnut stock with checkering , polish blue finish and of course - exceptional accuracy! Congrats on a fine rifle!

I think you have to pay about twice as much as a 452 to get something arguably better.

I've had my 452 LUX for several years and couldn't be happier. In my opinion the best bolt .22 out there excluding Cooper.

I also have an Anschutz and to be honest it isn't worth 2 of the CZ 452 and it does currently cost twice as much. I do wish clips were just a bit cheaper but you can't have everything.

They are getting too pricey now I think. I hope they level off in price and go down a bit eventually. I'd like to get at least one more for my collection. I still want to get a Varmint in .22LR. Don't need it for sure but you know how that goes. I bought five 452's back about 2-1/2 years ago and the highest priced one was my .17HMR for $319.00. My cheapest was the Trainer for $189.00 from a local fun shop. That's the one that started all this CZ madness for me. I always bring one to the range no matter what else I take because I know I can have fun with the CZ regardless of how my center-fired bench rest shoot goes.

Same here! Even paid the same price for mine. After that I knew the American would be added sooner or later!

Congratulations, Bill. You are going to enjoy it! Definitely check out the trigger spring kit. You may need to tweak the magazine follower if the 22LR's don't chamber smoothly. Both are very easy to do.

I think theres quite a few of us who bought a cz452 after reading about them on THR. I had mine for 5 years now and it is a fantastically accurate rifle.

Yeah started out with a " Special " scoped it and couldn't believe the quality of the rifle @ $189 . Had to spend the extra $ and eventually ( like 2 months later ) purchased the " American " from the same shop . Can't remember the cost but was less than $300 OTD and probally closer to $275 . I even purchased the delron bolt guide for the CZ rimfire rifles . Great rifle....WVleo

others may be more accurate but from what I'v seen the cz's have a much more even finish than a savage or a marlin though I may be wrong I'v never owned any of them and I dont realy care for bolt guns.

Picked up an American with a threaded 16 inch barrel for suppressor use. Could go wrong for the price and qaulity.
