The Dark Side Is Strong

I just can't fall in love with my 19, no matter how hard I try. Yeah, it goes bang every time. So do my other handguns that I actually love to go shoot. It's reliable, accurate and simple to work on. That speaks volumes and keeps me satisfied, but not enamored.

I feel the same. The only gun I have been enamored with is my cz75B. The cz is a work of art, the glock is just a tool. Glocks are fine guns. I see their utility, but the feeling I have for them is not much more than what I have for a good hammer or socket wrench. That said I do have two of them (models 17 and 19) and don't plan on parting with them any time soon. Why get rid of a good, sturdy tool?

Almost all of my auto loader experience has been with a Browning High Power. Glocks may be fine pistols, but they do not feel right to me.

Let's see:
Plastic
Chamber is over sized
They have finally changed barrel to allow support for the case
They feel horrible in my hand
They have horrible trigger pull and weight

You see, in this world, there is no perfect anything. The gun you love can easily be the gun I hate. Except for the P210, all the Sigs I have tried have jammed on me. My son has nothing but problems firing a Glock, while I just hate the feel (but I haven't held a Gen 4). I friend loves his Browning Hi-Power, while I like mine but I don't like the hammer bite. I love CZ75s, but other complain that the trigger reach is too long. Just remember, what you love may not be very good for someone else.

Exactly.

After adding a 3 1/2 lb trigger spring, a g17 smooth trigger (preference, not exactly functional) polishing everything and adding a 3 1/2 pound trigger bar; I gave up on making my Glock have a decent trigger. It is what it is and the trigger pull will never be what I like. I could go farther and alter the length of pull or reset...but it will still be similar and I just don't like it. I can live with it and it feels so much better than factory, but it just isn't for me.

well I have a 1911 to fix up to my liking, a taurus pt101 for fun shooting, and a bersa for my working gun.

the glock is such a wide platform is what appeals to me more than anything. but like previously stated, the lack of safties I feel uncomfortable about. so mixed feelings i guess
