Between 2,500 and 3,000, not counting .22LR. Seems to be about average for me anymore. God I'm sure glad I can shoot as much as I do!

Since my range log got caught up in some nasty winds and rain a very short time ago, I shoot an outdoor range and wasn't paying attention to it, I'd have to guess about 3,000 rnds of pistol and revolver. No rifle or shotgun. Hope to increase that greatly after I learn how to reload.

its rounds shot,not rounds on hand... i dont have any ammo or guns since my boating accident... so all my shot rounds were on range rentals!
Ah yes, my mistake, I stand corrected.

Excuse me if I am still at a lose why anyone would want to list their guns or ammo quantities online for any stranger, newsmedia, stalker or gov't official to see?

If you aren't interested....don't participate.

I worked for the Federal Gov't far too long to believe they have any remaining questions about my personal activities. :rolleyes:

Got my 45 in May and since then put about 1200 rounds through it
Got my 9mm in Nov and have put around 600 rounds through that.
The Python is a safe queen and hasn't been shot in almost 30 years.
This is my first year buying/owning handguns.

I shoot a lot, but I can honestly say that I don't have a clue as to how many rounds I've shot total or thru a specific gun. I don't keep track and don't have any idea why I'd need to.

Here in the UK

Between 5000 and 6000 .22LR
A handful of .38 (club lever guns)
A handful of 12 gauge (club shotgun for sporting clays)

January in Florida:

50-100 9mm (some pistols and a subbie 2000)
25-50 .38 (revolver)

I just went over 10,000 according to my log. Most of that was Feb-apr and Oct-dec. I shot very little in the summer. This has been my first year of shooting and while I have a lot to learn, the difference between now and last Feb is pretty dramatic.

If I had to guess it would probably be around 3k this year. I sure wish I could shoot as much as some of you folks.

I'm going to have to check this out, looks like some pretty useful software.

~300 shotguns shells, mixed between 12, 20 and .410 (mostly 12)
~ 100 7.62x54r in my M-44
~300 9mm
~150 .45 ACP
~600 .22 LR

Work got in the way of a lot of shooting this year. Next year isn't looking any better.

So what you're saying is that you work for the government and you're reading this thread....

Ragnar Danneskjold - The short answer is YUP.

Actually I haven't worked for DOJ for a few years now but you can go back on this forum and find me mentioning it any number of times when people start getting super-paranoid about what .GOV is and isn't up to :evil:

Now, back on topic, it looks like I'm not the only one who took a significant hit on range time this year <sigh>.

12 Ga.= 900-1500
9mm = 1200+
.223 = 1800
.22 =2K +
.38/357mag = 750 of those 500 were .38 SPEC
and a smattering of .22 mag, 17HMR, 22-250, 308, 45-70, 444marlin, 44 mag, 222, 30-06, 300 WM, 338 WM, 458 WM, etc

average year so far, but I shot 18 3 1/2'' and 3'' duck and goose shells this AM as the river thawed out so I could get the boat to the duckbird spot:D

2200-2500 of .22
about 1800 combined for various centerfire handguns
100 rounds of 12 gauge birdshot
2 rounds of .243........as in 2 dead coyotes.

All these are estimates...
~350 12 gauge (probably 50% high brass, 50% low)
~250 .45 ACP
~600 .22LR
~650 7.62x39
~0 .243

Haven't gotten to shoot very much. Classes and money have gotten in the way, but next year I'll be reloading, if all goes as planned, and I'll be getting a lot more lead down range.

I think anyone who has worked for the federal govt (myself included) would find the concept that the .gov could effectively track personal firearms collections via postings on online forums hilarious. They can't even keep track of basic payroll half the time.

I've worked for the Federal government also, but have avoided going back to that employer on principle.

I also seriously doubt they could accomplish the proposed tracking, or even that they would choose to. If they tried, the effort would cost 4-5 times more and take 2-3 times longer to accomplish than if undertaken by the private sector. On top of that, it would be broken most of the time.

These days, the Feds feel empowered to track your physical movements, barge into your home, and detain you without charge -- why would they need an on-line means of acquiring knowledge of your gun collection or shooting activities?

600 20 ga
600 12 ga
