The local Gunshop has this: http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=217

for sale used for $800. It seems to have been barely used, and the previous owner was a police officer. Comes with that funky RRA rear sight, two mags and a single point tactical sling.

What should I look at on the gun to determine its value. I really am tempted to scrounge up 25% to put it on layaway.

Edit: no idea if the barrel is chrome lined, didn't check earlier.

Im not sure . but if i had to guess. No
Not at this time. market is flooded & if you look hard & good i bet you find a better deal

Not a great deal right now. Not terrible, but you can do better for less money, or lots better for a little more.

I'd bet the officer selling it paid what he's asking for it. My local gs gives a healthy discount on every firearm he sells excepting the consignments which seem oh so valuable to the current owners.

I really like my RRA but unless the price drops another $100 you're better off looking elsewhere. No one ever brags about the rifle they got at full price, they rub in our faces the half price, guy didn't know what he had and it came with a $1000 scope deals. Look around and BE THAT GUY!

Best of luck, if he's willing to budge I'd say buy but if he was the original seller (FFL) then he's still selling the rifle used for more than he paid new and he made a tidy profit the first time it sold.
