I posted a new thread in this area "Activism" about a news medea that was back-door attacking second amendment rights by biasly reporting a story. I went on to talk about what I did in response to their action and asked if the story went national. I was trying to get some others to write/call the Twin Cities' media to make a point about responsible journalism.
My post was deleted without comment. Why? It seemed to fit this area.

This sub-forum is often subject to quite a bit of grey-area. It is sometimes hit or miss as to whether or not your post will actually be interpreted as activism or not. I don't mean to bash the mods, that's not my purpose in this post. I just think that when something like this happens, maybe the definitions of activism/forum rules aren't clear enough for everyone. Perhaps more warnings, or suggestions, rather than outright locks and deletions?

Are counters to media arguments activism? I mean, you aren't going to get any laws changed directly by doing so, but arguing with the papers (and having those arguments published) will help educate the public by offering them two sides to an argument (which, might get laws changed, indirectly). It sounds fairly active to me, but, as I said, subject to interpretation, apparently.

The post of mine that was pulled seemed to be a shoe-in for this post but maybe I just don't understand what was "off-topic". I won't re-post info about the media coverage on a subject or what I did about that coverage in this forum unless I hear from one of the moderators.

Ive got another idea,

given as how the moderators are without exception, people of consummate skill and dedication, they may have made a boo-boo!:uhoh:
Or maybe You did, re post and see what gives.
