Note it only includes rifles, pistols and shotguns, no NFA weapons. :scrutiny:
Its a good start, and Rep Bartlett is a thorn in the side of many antis from Maryland.

Now if it only had an exclusion to civil liability for an action deemed legal under the Act it would be a silver bullet.

I mailed a letter to my representative last week. I'm not sure if it will do any good since he is a Democrat but hopefully he'll realize that self-defense is a vital human right.

No AWB. Period. No negotiations or compromise, it should stay off the table. The so called conservatives have control and should get this done for us. I asked my rep to seek to add the civil liability protection. Now that would be a kick butt bill. We need laws to protect gun manufactures, dealers, and owners.

As a new "citizen" OF NYS I'm not even able to apply for a permit to have a handgun in my house for four more months. Then I can expect a delay of 6 months to get a permit to have a handgun in my house.

Frankly I'm concerned that I may not be able to get all the signatures I need to obtain such a permit.

Dispite the fact that I do have a shotgun this law looks to me like a chance to attack NYS's permit to posses handgun law.

Please, please, please.....
