Here are two which have not yet been mentioned but they come to my mind:

"Wild Geese" Made about 1979 I believe. Richard Burton, Richard Harris and Roger Moore. One of the best African mercenary movies with lots of action with FALs, Uzi's, MAGs, Vickers, etc. It is hard to find and out of print but well worth a watch. Some of the action is a little over the top...the Uzi's bark louder than the FALs and hand grenades toss guys 20 feet in the air but it is still a good flick.

"Tom Horn" with Steve McQueen. The Winchester model 1876 should have been billed as one of the stars.

Oh, I was supposed to name 10 so here are 8 more, in no order:

Shane
Band of Brothers
Wild Bunch
Apocalypse Now
Son of the Morning Star
Tombstone
Thief
Schindler's List

There are many more I can think of but that's good for now.

I think I'm going to add:

The Matrix Trilogy: Had anybody added this one? So many guns in the first one, I think it has to have the record for most guns used by one character in 5 minutes!

Taxi Driver: I'm always surprised when people don't mention this one! The closing scenes have one of the most realistic gun battles I've seen. Grim, gritty, and crazy bloody. And Bob De Niro has a rig for his colt 25 that would put you guys to shame...

The Godfather Trilogy: Okay, so the guns aren't REALLY prominent. But they are the greatest movies ever made and the guns are important so I'll give it props.

GSB,

Glad to here Sharpe is on DVD. It's been several years since I saw it, so I'll be like watching a new movie for me. :) Thanks for the heads-up.

Sean Bean, that's the guy. Also saw him in another good "gun" movie called "Bravo Two Zero". He played a commander of a Brit SAS team in the first Gulf War. That guy's like Robert Duvall......I've never seen him in a bad movie.

Tom Sellick's productions of some Louis L'Amour's books were pretty good, as far as "Guns Other than SAAs and Winchesters".

Lonesome Dove is right up there for failry accurate Western gunplay. Who can forget Duvall's character pinned down behind his horse by some goons with Sharps rifles? He tries to shoot back with the buckhorn notch, but the shots fall short. As the chief goon begins jumping down mocking him, Duvall calmly unfolds the peep sight on the stock and draws a bead. One shot.

Regarding Steven Segal, he really is an artist with a 1911. The movies sometimes lack a little something, though.

Just rented Outlaw Josey Wales to watch later next week. :D

Looked for Band of Brothers but didn't rent yet - is that a series of about six epsodes, was it on TV? None of the cases had a discription.

Band of Brothers originally was on HBO and I think the History Channel shows episodes every once in a while. It's a series so you should watch them in order. Josey Wales is one of my favorites, BTW ;) .
