Traded my trusty Ruger P89 today for my first CZ. I had to many 9s and felt another .40 filled the bill. Kind of an odd looking gun, half 1911 and half CZ, but it's real comfortable and supposedly shoots very well. I think I'll have to find some range time tomorrow to test it out...

Well done - that's a nice looking CZ. Just one quick warning: if it's your first CZ they are kind of addictive :) You'll have more of them sooner than later.

Okay, you've been warned, now go test it out...you'll love it!

Have fun,

Was it a straight across trade? I have a CZ40, It's not among my favorites but I only paid $300 NIB for it in 2002 and it's rather accurate.

It went to the range today along with the Sig P232 I traded for this morning and all the reports of it being accurate are sure true. My goal was to get a .40 range gun to replace the P89 and this fills the bill for sure. It may look a bit strange with the 1911 style bottom end, but it is very comfortable to shoot and the recoil was the smoothest of any .40 I've shot.

Next came the little Sig 232 in .380. Boy is this a fun gun to shoot and it's ungodly accurate for such a little thing. I had no problem keeping everything within a 4" group at POA at 10 yards with little effort on my part. Put 2 boxes of CCI through it today, 1 aluminum and 1 brass and it performed flawlessly. I ordered some Gold Dots from Georgia Arms for it today and that will be the next step in the testing. If it works well with SD ammo, it goes alongside my Kahr E9 as a carry gun. Note the messed up grip screw, new ones are already on the way from TopGunSupply...

I like shooting mine. The only complaint I had was the vertical serrations at the front of the grip bothered me. I put some grip tape over them and the problem is solved. Very comfy now. :)
