Been looking for a nice double barrel shotgun. Preferably a coach gun or similar with rabbit ear hammers.
I cannot find any. And new ones are like 1100$ if you can find em.
The range near me. Has a german made Gustov double barrel.. beautiful gun.. love it. Its fairly tight. The barrel release is straight and not turned to the right. The inside of the barrel i cant tell if its rust pitting or just dirty though..
But right before i said yes on buying it. I notice a good sized crack in the stock. Its where the stock is narrowist.
If i grab the gun and try to (break) it like a stick. The wood starts to pop out and im not using ALOT of effort.
Can this be repaired ?
The gun is 600$ i think its overpriced. But i mean how often does one come around a prewar or war era german side by side in the states ?
Engraving is beautiful.. overall i love the gun.. but that crack man
