so... there it was... a taurus pt1911 in 38 super... handled it for a bit, drooled for a while... seriously contemplated trading one of my 1911's in 45 for it... that was nice... and shooting a 38 at 1500 ft/sec isnt that bad either... :what:

opinions?

I love .38 super. I've only shot it once, but it didn't kick much at all, and has impressive ballistics. I like odd calibers though, because it's my second favorite behind 10mm ;)

i didnt know they made a pt1911 in 38 super... i did hear they are releading a 4 inch barreled version..

ive never really seen the big deal about 38super... beides maybe compitition i just see the use for adding a new caliber to the collection... but i know a lotta people dig it... what kinda tag did they have on the hog..

" i didnt know they made a pt1911 in 38 super... i did hear they are releading a 4 inch barreled version" I didnt know either.. but they sure do... and it is COOL>>>> and 40 bucks cheaper than the .45:D $559

I WANT I WANT>>>>>>>>

"im ready to see their compact"

Same here... who knows when that will be available...

dont know ive seen some interent sites that are soppusedly selling it but they never have a pic... scam thinks i

"Isn't it hard to find ammo for that 38 super? Supposed to be shootclub, military or LE only?? "

as natman said, it just isnt the most popular round, but it is available... seeing as 40,45 are nearly impossible to find right now... it might just be worth it to go for a less popular but still effective round.
